Compatible tray for MB992 and MB996 backplanes

This drive caddy fits ICY DOCK ToughArmor MB992 and MB996 series SATA hot swap backplane RAID cages. It serves administrators who need a spare or replacement tray to maintain density in a rack server. The tray accepts a single drive for front loading into the cage. Builders using other enclosures or tray form factors cannot use this unit.

Rack form factor with sliding mechanism

The tray is built to the rack specification used by the MB992 and MB996 series cages. Its EZ-Slide Micro design lets the carrier glide into the backplane and lock without tools. The SATA connector on the tray mates directly with the cage backplane when fully seated. This mechanical interface ensures consistent alignment during repeated swap cycles in a server environment.

Tray only — no drive or mounting screws included

The package contains the carrier tray alone; no drive, screws or software are bundled. You must supply a compatible drive and any fasteners required by that drive. This keeps the accessory cost low for operators who already have the necessary hardware on hand.
