Radio replacement harness for select GM vehicles from 2010 onward retains steering wheel audio controls and factory features with a Maestro module
The iDatalink HRN-HRR-GM2 radio replacement harness fits select General Motors vehicles manufactured from 2010 onwards. It enables the installation of an aftermarket receiver while keeping factory features functional. This harness is intended for owners upgrading the stereo in a compatible GM car or truck.
The harness requires a separate Maestro ADS-MRR or ADS-MRR2 module to operate. Without that module the harness cannot communicate with the vehicle data bus. Buyers who already own a different interface module will find this harness incompatible with their setup.
A universal connector on the radio side allows plug-and-play connection when paired with the correct Maestro adapter. The connector can also be removed for traditional hard-wiring if preferred. Incorrect wiring or omitting the required module typically results in lost steering-wheel controls, chimes or amplifier output.
