Radio replacement harness for 2012-2021 Subaru vehicles that retains steering wheel controls, factory amplifier, subwoofer, cameras and vehicle data display
The iDatalink HRN-HRR-SU2 replaces the factory radio connector in select 2012-2021 Subaru vehicles. It terminates in a universal connector that works with aftermarket receivers and iDatalink "Head-unit Direct" harnesses. The kit retains steering-wheel audio controls, factory amplifier and subwoofer, plus Starlink and secondary display functions where equipped. It also provides parking-brake, reverse and speed-sense outputs for navigation units. A Maestro ADS-MRR or ADS-MRR2 module is required for full data integration.
The harness plugs directly into the vehicle wiring and the "Head-unit Direct" harness, removing the need to cut or splice factory wires. Pairing it with a Maestro module enables plug-and-play setup for vehicle settings, gauges and camera feeds on the new touchscreen. The most common issue is forgetting to order the required ADS-MRR or ADS-MRR2 module, which leaves steering-wheel controls and data features inactive. Front and side cameras also need a receiver with a second camera input.
Check the iDatalink vehicle fit guide to confirm your exact Subaru, Scion or Toyota model and trim are supported between 2012 and 2021. Ensure the aftermarket receiver has the necessary inputs for retained cameras and supports the Maestro module you plan to use. Without the correct module and a compatible head unit, steering-wheel controls, factory audio and vehicle data displays will not function.

The steering wheel audio controls will operate the new receiver, and the touchscreen will display vehicle settings, gauges, and data if the Maestro ADS-MRR or ADS-MRR2 module is connected and programmed.
The box contains the radio replacement harness with a universal connector. You must purchase the Maestro ADS-MRR or ADS-MRR2 module separately, and an iDatalink "Head-unit Direct" harness for your specific receiver.
Both modules are compatible with the HRN-HRR-SU2 harness; the ADS-MRR2 is the newer hardware revision, so select the one that matches your receiver's firmware requirements.
