Radio replacement harness for select 2012-2020 Toyotas that retains steering wheel controls, factory amp and backup camera when adding an aftermarket stereo
The iDatalink HRN-HRR-TO2 harness connects an aftermarket stereo to select 2012‑2020 Toyota models when paired with a Maestro ADS-MRR or ADS-MRR2 module. It preserves steering wheel audio controls and the factory amplifier with any compatible receiver. Fader control, vehicle‑settings menus, aux input and backup camera are retained on supported units. The harness plugs into the vehicle wiring without cutting or splicing.
The harness uses factory connectors for a direct fit, eliminating wire splicing. A Maestro ADS-MRR or ADS-MRR2 module must be purchased and flashed separately for the harness to function. Most installers find the physical connections straightforward, but forgetting to programme the module for the specific vehicle is the common error. Optional brand‑specific radio adapters simplify the head‑unit side of the install.
This kit suits drivers upgrading the stereo in a compatible Toyota while retaining steering wheel controls, amplifier output and vehicle‑personalisation menus. It is not for vehicles outside the 2012‑2020 Toyota range listed in the application guide. Buyers who cannot supply or flash the required Maestro module should look at a different solution. Installers unwilling to configure the module via PC will also need an alternative.

Test steering wheel audio controls, confirm the factory amplifier powers the speakers, check that the fader adjusts front-to-rear balance, and ensure the vehicle settings menu and backup camera display appear on the new stereo.
The box contains the HRN-HRR-TO2 vehicle harness and the ADS-MRR interface module. You must buy a Maestro RR or RR2 module and a head unit adapter for your specific aftermarket stereo brand.
The harness works with both Maestro ADS-MRR and ADS-MRR2 modules. Choose the module that lists your specific vehicle make, model, and year in its compatibility chart.
