Product identity

The Ideal 30-071 is a gray twist-on wire connector supplied in a pack of one hundred. It is intended for electricians and DIY installers making secure splices in residential and light commercial wiring. The expanding square-wire spring grips conductors from 22 AWG up to 14 AWG. The flame-retardant shell withstands temperatures up to 105 °C (221 °F).

Voltage and wire-range limits

The connector is rated 300 V for general electrical applications and 600 V for signs and lighting fixtures. It accepts combinations from two 22 AWG wires up to two 14 AWG wires. Connections outside this range or above the stated voltages are not supported by the design.

Capacity and headroom

The compact body fits tight boxes while the spring maintains a firm hold across the full wire-range. The 105 °C shell rating provides margin for normal circuit heating. Installers needing larger conductor sizes, higher voltage ratings or larger pack quantities will need a different connector.
