Portable DVD Player with 9.5" Screen

This ieGeek portable DVD player has a 9.5-inch eye-protective display with a 1024x600 resolution. It plays DVD, DVD±R, DVD±RW, CD, CD±R, CD±RW, VCD and SVCD discs from all regions. Multimedia files such as AVI, MPEG, VOB, MP3, WMA and JPEG are supported via USB and SD cards up to 32 GB.

5-Hour Rechargeable Battery

The built-in 2500 mAh battery provides up to five hours of playback for one to two movies. An AC power adapter and a car charger are included so the player can be powered on the move or at home. This runtime suits shorter trips but will not cover a full day of continuous viewing without recharging.

Families Wanting Car Entertainment

The swivel design and headrest-mounting option make it a practical choice for back-seat passengers on road trips. Dual speakers and a 3.5 mm headphone jack allow shared or private listening. Buyers who need Blu-ray playback or streaming apps should look at a different device.

Questions about this item

How sharp does the 1024x600 resolution look on the 9.5-inch screen?

The 9.5-inch display at 1024x600 gives a clear picture for DVD playback and kids' videos; text is readable but not retina-sharp, which is typical for this class of portable player.

What does the region-free DVD drive actually play, and are there any disc types it rejects?

It plays DVD, DVD±R/±RW, CD, CD±R/±RW, VCD and SVCD from any region; Blu-ray discs and pirated copies are not supported.

Will the 14.33 by 12.83 by 9.06 inch unit fit on a standard car headrest?

The player includes a headrest mount strap; its footprint fits most front-seat headrest posts, but measure your post spacing if the seats are unusually wide or narrow.
