A 20 W USB-C Power Delivery wall charger with a six-foot Lightning cable charges compatible iPhones to 50 % in 30 minutes and includes over-current, over-voltage.
The iEssentials kit pairs a 20W USB-C Power Delivery wall adapter with a six-foot USB-C to Lightning cable. The charger accepts 100-240V input for worldwide use and delivers 5V/3A, 9V/2A or 9V/2.2A output. A built-in smart chip guards against over-current, over-voltage, overheating and short-circuiting. The TPE-jacketed cable uses a 100% copper core for charging and data transfer up to 480 Mbps.
iPhone 8 or later, iPad models with Lightning ports and AirPods 1, 2, Pro or Max can use the 20W PD output for rapid charging. Older iPhones such as the 7, 6s or SE (1st gen) and Lightning iPads charge at standard speed only. The kit is not for devices that require USB-C to USB-C connections, higher than 20W output or wireless charging.
The wall plug provides one USB-C port limited to 20W maximum output, so it cannot fast-charge larger tablets or laptops that demand 30W or more. The included six-foot cable is USB-C to Lightning only and cannot be swapped for a different connector. Buyers needing multiple ports, higher wattage or a detachable cable should consider other options.
