Two-Computer HDMI 2.1 KVM Switch

This KVM switch lets two computers share one HDMI monitor and three USB 3.0 peripherals. It supports video resolutions up to 8K at 60 Hz and 4K at 144 Hz or 120 Hz with RGB 4:4:4 8-bit colour. A wired remote and front-panel buttons provide instant switching without hotkeys. The included 12 V power adapter ensures stable operation for high-draw USB devices such as RGB keyboards or external drives.

Replaces Manual Cable Swapping

Users who currently unplug HDMI and USB cables to move between a desktop and a laptop, or between a work PC and a gaming rig, can switch with a single press. The jump is worth it when daily workflows demand frequent transitions and 4K high-refresh or 8K video fidelity must be preserved. It eliminates wear on ports and cables while keeping keyboard, mouse and storage connected to the active system.

Limited by HDMI 2.1 Bandwidth

The switch passes a maximum of 48 Gbps, the ceiling of the HDMI 2.1 interface it uses. Resolutions above 8K at 60 Hz or 4K beyond 144 Hz cannot be transmitted, and features requiring greater bandwidth such as 10-bit or 12-bit colour at those rates are not supported. HDCP 2.3 compliance protects premium content, but older HDCP versions on source or display may limit playback. The 1.5 m wired remote sets the maximum switching distance from the unit.

Questions about this item

What cable length is the wired remote so I can position the switch behind my desk?

The wired remote is 1.5 metres long, giving enough reach to place the switch out of sight while keeping the button accessible.

How do I connect both computers so the switch powers on correctly?

Connect each computer using the two included USB 3.0 cables to the PC ports, attach the monitor to the single HDMI output, then plug in the 12 V power adapter before turning on the PCs.

Which USB ports will need attention if I later add a high-power RGB keyboard or external drive?

The three USB 3.0 ports on the switch share the 12 V adapter; if a device becomes unstable, try a direct connection to the computer or a powered hub instead.
