Share one monitor, keyboard and mouse across four computers with 4K 60Hz video and USB 3.0 peripheral ports
The IHDAPP 4-Port HDMI USB 3.0 KVM Switch lets four computers share one monitor, keyboard and mouse. It targets professionals and home users who need to control multiple desktops or laptops from a single workstation without unplugging cables. The metal enclosure houses four HDMI inputs and four USB 3.0 ports for peripheral sharing. Setup is plug-and-play across Windows, macOS, Linux and ChromeOS.
Passive cooling and a metal shell dissipate heat silently because the unit draws power only from the connected USB cables. No external power adapter is required, though all USB cables must be attached to supply sufficient current. Power consumption stays minimal during normal switching and 4K video pass-through. The design adds no audible noise to the workspace.
This switch replaces any USB 2.0 KVM that limits peripheral bandwidth or lacks 4K 60 Hz support. The jump is worth it when you need USB 3.0 speeds for drives, webcams or printers and want 18 Gbps video bandwidth with EDID emulation on every input. It is not for buyers who require keyboard hot-key switching or need to control a PlayStation 4 with a mouse and keyboard.

Connect each computer with both an HDMI 2.0 cable and a USB-A 3.0 cable to its group port, then attach the monitor to the HDMI output. The step often missed is plugging the USB cable alongside the HDMI, because the USB link supplies power and carries peripheral data.
The USB 3.0 cables and the HDMI 2.0 cables are the parts most likely to wear out; the unit itself has no fan, battery or user-serviceable module, so no internal maintenance is required.
The 18 Gbps bandwidth ceiling per port is the first hard limit; sustaining full 4K 60 Hz 4:4:4 on every input simultaneously pushes that ceiling, so ensure every cable is rated for 18 Gbps.
