Triple-Monitor KVM for Three PCs

This IHDAPP switch lets three computers share three displays and four USB 3.0 peripherals. Each host connects through one HDMI 2.1 and two DisplayPort 1.4 inputs. The unit supports extended and copy display modes. A 12 V power adapter, wired remote and front push buttons are included for source selection.

Resolution Limits by Interface

HDMI 2.1 outputs reach 8K at 60 Hz and 4K at 60 Hz; it does not support 4K at 120 Hz or 144 Hz. DisplayPort 1.4 outputs reach 8K at 30 Hz and 4K at 120 Hz. Both interfaces are backward compatible with 2K at 144 Hz and 1080p. Final resolution depends on the graphics card, cables and monitors used.

Upgrade from Single-Monitor Switches

Replaces a basic two-port KVM when a workflow demands three simultaneous screens per system. The jump is worthwhile for traders, developers or video editors who need extended desktop space across three panels. It is not suited for users who only need one monitor per computer or who require more than three host connections.

Questions about this item

Should I pick the HDMI 2.1 or DisplayPort 1.4 input for my 4K 144 Hz monitor?

Use the HDMI 2.1 port for 4K at 144 Hz; the DisplayPort 1.4 ports reach 4K at 120 Hz, so HDMI gives the higher refresh rate at that resolution.

What does the 8K 60 Hz rating actually deliver on my desk?

You can run one monitor at 8K 60 Hz over HDMI 2.1, while the two DisplayPort 1.4 outputs top out at 8K 30 Hz; your graphics card and cables must also support those speeds.

Does the USB 3.0 hub run at full 5 Gbps when I switch between the three PCs?

Yes, the four USB 3.0 ports maintain 5 Gbps throughput on whichever computer is active, letting keyboards, mice, drives and printers work without re-plugging.
