Wired headphones with in-line remote

The iHome IB42BUC connects through a standard 3.5 mm jack so it works with phones, tablets, laptops and portable game devices. An in-line microphone and remote let you answer calls and control playback without touching the source device. Padded ear cushions and an adjustable headband keep long sessions comfortable.

Flat cable and universal 3.5 mm plug

A tangle-resistant flat cable reduces snags while the 3.5 mm connector fits virtually any audio jack. The passive design draws no power so there is no battery to charge or pairing step to manage. Volume and track control are handled by the source device because the remote only covers play, pause, track skip and call functions.

Lightweight stereo set for everyday listening

The headphones suit commuters, students and office workers who want simple plug-and-play audio with hands-free calling. They do not serve users who need active noise cancellation, wireless freedom or a detachable cable for replacement. Audiophiles requiring high-impedance drivers or a balanced connection should look elsewhere.

Questions about this item

Will the 3.5 mm plug on these iHome IB42BUC headphones work with the headphone jack on my older laptop?

Yes, the 3.5 mm headphone jack is a universal analogue connector, so the cable plugs directly into any laptop, MP3 player, tablet or portable game device that has a standard 3.5 mm socket.

How can I check that the in-line remote and microphone are functioning correctly after I plug them in?

Play a track and use the remote to pause, resume and skip forward or back; then make a test call — if the other party hears you clearly and the controls respond, the mic and remote are working as intended.

What accessories are included in the box and is a separate adapter needed for a 3.5 mm device?

The package contains the headphones with integrated flat cable, in-line remote and microphone, plus padded ear cushions and adjustable headband already attached; no extra adapter is required for any 3.5 mm jack.
