Reduces light pollution from sodium-vapour and mercury-vapour lamps for clearer night-sky photography
The Ikan NiSi 67mm Natural Night Filter is a professional-grade optic that reduces light pollution from sodium-vapour lamps, mercury-vapour lamps and low-CRI LEDs. It blocks the yellow and orange glow these sources create so night-time photographs and videos retain natural scene colours. The 67mm thread fits directly onto compatible lenses such as the Sony 20mm f/1.8, making it a practical addition for astrophotography and urban night shoots. It also enables longer exposure times without the colour shift caused by artificial lighting.
This filter suits astrophotographers capturing the Milky Way, coastal or city nightscape shooters, and videographers working under street-lighting who need accurate colour straight from the camera. It is not for buyers who need a filter with a different thread diameter, nor for those who require a circular polariser, neutral-density or UV-protection filter instead. It also does not serve photographers whose lenses lack a 67mm front thread or who use filter systems that require square or rectangular plates.
The single specification that decides fit is the 67mm thread size — it must match the lens front diameter exactly. The filter’s defining function is its engineered coating that targets the specific spectral output of common street-lighting, letting natural night-sky colours pass while suppressing the dominant yellow-orange wavelengths.
Measured against everything we stock in Binoculars, Scopes & Sights, at today’s prices. Recalculated every night.

Screw the filter directly onto the 67mm front thread of the lens; check the lens barrel for the Ø67 symbol to confirm the size matches before turning.
The slim-profile ring adds only a few millimetres; remove petal hoods or rotate them to the storage position so the filter seats flat without vignetting.
Face the coated glass toward the scene; the male 67mm thread goes on the lens, and the knurled edge should turn clockwise until snug — do not over-tighten.
