Ikelite Lid Snap Assembly for ULTRAcompact Housing

The Ikelite Lid Snap Assembly secures the back plate to the clear main body of the ULTRAcompact housing. It is a replacement part for owners of this specific underwater housing who need to restore the original locking function. The component fastens the housing shut to maintain the watertight seal during use. It is not for users of other Ikelite housing models or third-party underwater cases.

Thermals noise and power draw

This mechanical latch assembly has no electronic components, so it produces no heat, noise or power consumption. It operates silently through manual engagement and adds no thermal load to the camera system. The part requires no batteries or external power source to function. Its performance is unaffected by ambient temperature or depth pressure within the housing's rated limits.
