RJ45 CAT6 Keystone Coupler

This white keystone coupler joins two unshielded twisted-pair Cat6 cables with a straight-through connection. It meets the ANSI/TIA/EIA 568 B.2-1 standard and carries UL listing. Contacts are plated with 50 micron gold. The plastic housing fits standard keystone openings.

Installers extending UTP runs

Suitable for technicians who need a quick inline join between two solid or stranded Cat6 patch cables in a wall plate or patch panel. Not for installers who require shielded couplers for FTP or STP cable, or who need a tool-less termination block instead of a pass-through coupler.

50 micron gold-plated contacts

The 50 micron gold plating on every contact resists oxidation and maintains low resistance over repeated insertions. This specification determines whether the coupler will meet the Cat6 performance target in compliance with the 568 standard.

Questions about this item

Will the keystone coupler’s 50 micron gold contacts require cleaning or replacement after repeated patching?

The 50 micron gold plating resists oxidation and normal insertion cycles; no scheduled cleaning or contact replacement is needed.

What limits throughput first when the coupler runs at full Cat6 speed for long periods?

The ANSI/TIA/EIA 568 B.2-1 channel budget and straight-through wiring set the performance ceiling before any component fatigue appears.

Does the plastic housing get warm or draw extra power during continuous all-day use?

The passive coupler draws no power and generates no measurable heat; the UL-listed plastic housing stays at ambient temperature.
