USB to Dual PS/2 Adapter

The iMBAPrice USB to Dual PS/2 Adapter lets you connect legacy PS/2 keyboards and mice to a modern USB port. It is designed for users who need to operate older input devices with current computers that lack native PS/2 sockets.

Interface Limits

The adapter operates with USB 1.1 or USB 2.0 host ports and provides two female PS/2 connectors. It supports up to two PS/2 keyboards or two PS/2 mice simultaneously but does not add bandwidth beyond the USB standard in use.

Dual PS/2 Connectivity

The single USB male plug splits into two PS/2 female ports for keyboard and mouse use. This specific dual-port layout decides whether the adapter matches a setup requiring both legacy devices at once.

Questions about this item

Should I buy a single adapter or multiple units for my keyboard and mouse?

One white adapter handles both a PS/2 keyboard and a PS/2 mouse at the same time, so a single unit is enough for a standard desktop pair.

Will this adapter let my PS/2 keyboard and mouse work at full speed on a modern PC?

The adapter runs on USB 1.1 or USB 2.0 ports, providing standard PS/2 signalling rates that are identical to a native PS/2 port for typing and pointing.

Does the USB 1.1 or 2.0 connection limit what keyboards or mice I can use?

USB 1.1 and 2.0 supply enough bandwidth for any standard PS/2 keyboard or mouse, so no practical device is capped by the interface.
