Compact Fanless Desktop

The Inctel B16-8550U-16G128G1T is a silent mini PC built around an Intel Core i7-8550U processor with four cores and a maximum turbo frequency of 4.00 GHz. It ships with 16 GB of DDR4 memory, a 128 GB SSD for the operating system and a 1 TB hard drive for bulk storage. Windows 10 Pro comes pre-installed on the unit. The aluminium chassis uses passive cooling, so the system runs without any moving parts.

Connectivity And Expansion

Integrated Intel UHD Graphics 620 drives two 4K displays simultaneously through HDMI 1.4 at 24 Hz and DisplayPort 1.2 at 60 Hz. Wired networking uses a gigabit Ethernet port, while wireless connects via dual antennas on 802.11 b/g/n. The I/O panel provides four USB 3.0 ports, four USB 2.0 ports, audio in and out, and a DC power jack. Internally the board offers one mSATA slot, one M.2 2280 slot supporting SATA or NVMe, and one 2.5 inch SATA bay for additional drives.

Target Use And Limits

This desktop suits office workers, digital-signage deployments and home users who need a completely silent, compact system for everyday productivity and 4K video playback. Buyers who require discrete graphics performance for gaming or GPU-accelerated rendering should look elsewhere. The passive design also means sustained heavy workloads will throttle, so it is not intended for continuous high-intensity compute tasks.
