Bright business projector

The InFocus IN2136 is a new DLP projector built for meeting rooms and classrooms. It delivers a native WXGA resolution of 1280 x 800 with 4500 lumens and a 28,500:1 contrast ratio. A 10-watt speaker provides room-filling audio while the unit runs at a whisper-quiet level. The lamp is rated for up to 15,000 hours of use.

Check inputs and mounting

Verify that your source devices can output over HDMI or VGA to match the available ports. The powered HDMI port can supply charge to connected mobile hardware while transmitting video. Ensure the throw distance suits your room because the lens offers a fixed 1.3x optical zoom range. Confirm that 3D content sources comply with the HDMI 1.4a standard supported by this model.

Replaces dimmer or louder units

This model upgrades older projectors that fall short of 4500 lumens or lack a 28,500:1 contrast ratio for clear images in lit rooms. It replaces units with shorter lamp ratings by offering up to 15,000 hours of operation. The integrated 10-watt speaker and quiet design remove the need for external audio in typical spaces. The TechStation compartment consolidates streaming sticks or wireless adapters into a single tidy package.

Questions about this item

Does the IN2136 ship with any streaming device or dongle, or must I supply my own?

The projector includes a TechStation compartment with a powered HDMI port; you supply the streaming stick, laptop or other source that plugs into it.

Should I pick the 4500-lumen WXGA model or a lower-lumen alternative for a lit meeting room?

At 4500 lumens and a 28,500:1 contrast ratio, this WXGA (1280 x 800) model is built for bright rooms where lower-lumen units would wash out.

Will the 4500-lumen rating still look that bright after the lamp ages in daily use?

The lamp is rated up to 15,000 hours, so brightness declines slowly over years of typical business-hour operation.
