  • 12,000 RPM rating handles high-speed finishing work

Adhesive-Backed 5 in Disc Pad

This 5 in foam backup pad accepts adhesive-backed abrasive discs for orbital sanding. A threaded 5/16 in -24 shaft mounts directly to compatible sanders. Soft-density foam conforms to contours while the 12,000 RPM rating matches high-speed tools.

For single-disc adhesive workflows

Technicians who rely on quick-change hook-and-loop systems cannot use this pad because it lacks that mounting style. Shops needing vacuum-hole dust extraction must choose a different design since this model is non-vacuum.

5/16 in -24 threaded shaft

The connector size and thread pitch determine whether the pad fits the sander spindle. Verify the tool specifications before purchase to ensure the shaft matches exactly.

Questions about this item

Should I pick a different diameter backup pad for my 5-inch sander?

This pad is 5 inches in diameter, matching the sander size shown in the specifications.

What does the 12,000 RPM rating mean when the pad is mounted on my tool?

It is the maximum safe operating speed; do not run the sander faster than 12,000 RPM with this pad attached.

Will the 5/16-24 threaded shaft fit my sander's spindle?

The pad uses a 5/16-24 threaded shaft, so it fits sanders with a matching 5/16-24 spindle thread.
