A 35 lb air paving breaker delivering 1250 BPM at 49.0 CFM with a 25 in. overall length and T-grip handle
The Ingersoll/Rand PB35AL8 is a new 35-pound-class air paving breaker built for heavy demolition. It delivers 1,250 blows per minute with a 6-1/4-inch piston stroke and 1-3/4-inch bore. The tool consumes 49.0 CFM at 90 psi through a 3/4-inch NPT inlet and requires a minimum 3/4-inch hose.
This breaker suits operators breaking concrete, asphalt or compacted soil where a 35-pound tool provides the necessary force. It is not for users who lack a compressor capable of sustaining 49.0 CFM at 90 psi, nor for tasks requiring a lighter, more manoeuvrable hammer. The latch retainer and spring-loaded anvil bushing keep the chisel engaged on hard surfaces.
Installation consists of connecting a 3/4-inch hose to the 3/4-inch NPT air inlet and securing the tool bit in the latch retainer. The one-piece housing removes side rods and springs that can loosen or fall out during vibration. Common issues arise when the air supply falls below 90 psi or the hose is undersized, causing a drop in blow rate and premature wear.

A compressor capable of delivering 49.0 CFM at 90 psi is required to operate the breaker at full load.
No. The tool requires a 3/4 in. NPT inlet and a minimum 3/4 in. hose; 1/2 in. lines will restrict flow and prevent the 1250 BPM rating from being reached.
Listen for a steady, rapid hammering rhythm at the work surface; the spring-loaded anvil bushing keeps the tool planted so each blow transfers cleanly when pressure holds at 90 psi.
