Signal Extension for PCIe 5.0
This Innocard EP7102 kit converts an M.2 PCIe 5.0 slot to an MCIO 38P connector and includes a 50cm cable to a U.3 interface. A built-in ReDriver extends 32GT/s differential signals while a clock buffer drives longer trace lengths. The assembly is designed and made in Taiwan.
Replaces Direct M.2 Mounting
The adapter replaces a direct M.2 installation when the drive must sit farther from the host board. The jump is worth it when cable routing or chassis layout prevents a native M.2 connection and PCIe 5.0 signal integrity must be maintained across the 50cm link.
Sustained Link Stability
Under sustained load the on-board ReDriver and 100MHz clock buffer preserve 32GT/s signalling across the extended path. The 3.3V load switch with reverse-current protection and the SMBus repeater with hot-swap level translation keep power and side-band signals stable during continuous operation.

Questions about this item
What M.2 slot length and MCIO connector pin count does the EP7102 adapter kit require?
The kit converts a 38-pin MCIO connector (SFF-TA-1016) to an M.2 PCIe 5.0 slot with a 50 cm cable between them.
How is the PERST# signal handled during installation, and which MCIO pin carries it?
A bidirectional voltage-level translator routes PERST# to MCIO pin A11; connect the cable so the host drives PERST# through that pin.
Which on-board LEDs show power and reset status, and what do their colours mean?
Green LED1 lit means 3.3 V is ready; red LED2 lit means PERST# is asserted, and it turns off when PERST# de-asserts normally.
