The on-board 12 V hot-plug supply delivers a programmable current limit of 6.5 A with adjustable inrush slew rate. Thermal shutdown and fault alert protect the drive during power events. Out-of-band management via PERST#

The adapter exposes PCIe PERST# for out-of-band remote reset of the connected U.3 NVMe SSD. WAKE# and CLKREQ# translators maintain open-drain signalling over longer traces. SMBus I/O expander at address 0x41 handles PWRDIS control. Buyers without BMC or OOB infrastructure cannot use these management features.
