Clear File Tote for Document Storage

The Innovative Storage Designs 55802 is a clear plastic archive box designed to hold letter or legal size hanging file folders. A snap-on lid keeps contents secure while a write-on label area allows quick identification. It suits home offices, small businesses or anyone organising paper records.

Snap-on Lid and Stackable Design

The tight-fitting lid protects documents from dust and minor spills during everyday handling. The rigid plastic base resists flexing when lifted, keeping folder tabs aligned. Its rectangular footprint lets multiple totes sit flush on a shelf without wobble.

Behaviour Under Continuous Use

Repeated opening and closing does not loosen the lid seal, so files stay covered during frequent access. The clear base lets you spot the right tote without pulling each one down. Folders slide smoothly even when the box is filled to capacity.

Questions about this item

How do I install the snap-on lid on the 55802 file tote so it seals properly?

Align the lid corners with the base corners, then press firmly on each corner until you hear a distinct snap; the step most people miss is pressing the centre last, which can leave a gap at the edges.

What maintenance or replacement will the 55802 file tote need over time?

The clear plastic base and black lid are single-piece mouldings with no moving parts; only the write-on label area may need a fresh label if the original writing fades or becomes illegible.

What is the first limit I hit when stacking multiple 55802 totes under sustained load?

The 10.8 inch height and snap-tight closure are designed for vertical stacking; the practical limit is the lid’s snap strength, which can deform if total stacked weight exceeds the tote’s structural rigidity.
