What this cartridge replaces

The Innovera IVRTN650 is a new compatible black toner cartridge built to replace the Brother TN650. It fits Brother DCP-8080DN, 8050DN; HL-5340D, 5350DN, 5370DW, 5370DWT; MFC-8480DN, 8680DN, 8690DW, 8890DW printers. The unit delivers an approximate yield of 8000 pages at 5% coverage. It is not for buyers who need colour output or a higher page yield than 8000 pages.

Installing and common issues

Open the front cover, remove the old cartridge and slide the new one in until it clicks; the 360° quality certification process means the chip is already recognised by the printer. If the printer still shows low toner, reseat the cartridge and power-cycle the device. Do not force the unit — misalignment can damage the drum unit, which is sold separately.

Check your printer before ordering

Confirm your model appears in the compatible list above; the cartridge will not fit Brother printers outside the DCP, HL and MFC series shown. Verify you need a black-only cartridge, because this unit does not supply cyan, magenta or yellow toner. Ensure the drum unit in your machine is still serviceable, as a worn drum will degrade print quality even with a fresh cartridge.

Questions about this item

How can I confirm the Innovera IVRTN650 toner is working correctly after installation?

Print a test page and verify sharp black text across the full page; the cartridge is rated for an approximate 8000-page yield at 5% coverage, so consistent output over multiple prints shows it is performing as intended.

What comes in the box with the IVRTN650 and what must I buy separately?

The package contains one new black compatible toner cartridge (model IVRTN650); no drum unit, waste container or paper is included, so purchase those separately if your Brother printer requires them.

Which Innovera toner should I choose for my Brother HL-5370DW?

Select the IVRTN650 black compatible cartridge — it replaces the Brother TN650 and is listed for the HL-5370DW, HL-5370DWT, HL-5350DN, HL-5340D, DCP-8080DN, DCP-8050DN, MFC-8480DN, MFC-8680DN, MFC-8690DW and MFC-8890DW.
