Compatible Printers

This black high-yield toner cartridge replaces the Xerox 106R02228 and fits the Xerox Phaser 6600 DN, Phaser 6600 N, WorkCentre 6605 DN and WorkCentre 6605 N. It is designed for offices that print high volumes and want consistent output without paying OEM prices.

When To Upgrade

The cartridge delivers approximately 8000 pages, making it a direct substitute for the standard-capacity alternative that ships with the printer. The jump is worth it when monthly print volumes exceed the lower-yield cartridge's life and you want fewer interruptions for replacements.

Installation Notes

Installation follows the printer's standard cartridge swap procedure: open the front cover, remove the old unit, shake the new cartridge gently, insert it until it clicks, then close the cover. The most common issue is forgetting to remove the protective seal before insertion, which causes blank pages on the first print job.

Questions about this item

Will the UT-IVR6600B cartridge fit inside my Xerox Phaser 6600 DN without a separate mounting bracket?

The cartridge is a direct replacement for the Xerox 106R02228 and slides into the standard toner slot of the Phaser 6600 DN, 6600 N, WorkCentre 6605 DN and 6605 N without extra hardware.

What is the correct sequence to install the UT-IVR6600B so the printer recognises it immediately?

Open the front cover, pull out the old black cartridge, remove the orange protective clip and sealing tape from the new unit, rock it gently five times, then insert it firmly until it clicks and close the cover.

How many pages can I expect before the UT-IVR6600B needs replacing?

The high-yield black cartridge is rated for approximately 8000 pages at standard coverage, so plan a replacement once the printer reports low toner or print density drops.
