HDMI to USB 3.0 capture
The Inogeni 4K2USB3 converts an HDMI source into a USB 3.0 video stream for recording, editing, videoconferencing or streaming. It requires no driver installation and works with Windows, macOS, Linux and Android. The device draws power directly from the USB port and includes a USB 3.0 cable. It is UVC compliant for broad software compatibility.
Resolution support and limits
The unit captures up to Ultra HD 4K at 30 fps and 1080p at 60 fps, with additional support for 1080i, 720p, 480p and 576p video formats. Graphic resolutions up to 1920 x 1200 are accepted. All SD and HD signals convert to 4:2:2 8-bit color space while UHD signals convert to 4:2:0. Automatic scaling and frame-rate conversion are handled in hardware, though UHD upscaling is not supported.
Thermals noise and power
The compact converter is bus-powered from a single USB 3.0 connection, eliminating the need for an external supply. With no moving parts, it operates silently. Internal frame buffers maintain steady frame rates across different host systems. HDMI audio is extracted as two-channel LPCM alongside the video stream.

Questions about this item

Yes, it supports 1080p at 60 fps and automatically converts the signal to 4:2:2 8-bit color space over USB 3.0.
How can I verify the 4K capture is running at 30 fps after I plug it in?
Open your recording or streaming software and confirm the input shows 3840x2160 or 4096x2160 at 30 fps with two-channel LPCM audio.
Does the box include the USB 3.0 cable or do I need to buy one separately?
A USB 3.0 cable is included, so you only need an HDMI cable from your source to the capture device.
