Compact Wireless System

The Insta360 Mic Air delivers a coin-sized transmitter weighing 7.9g paired with a USB-C receiver for smartphones, computers and tablets. It captures audio at 48kHz sampling with a 26 decibel signal-to-noise ratio. Advanced noise cancelling and an included windshield keep recordings clean in outdoor environments. The system offers 300m wireless range and 10-hour battery life with noise cancellation disabled.

Solo Creators On The Move

Vloggers, streamers and mobile journalists who need a single invisible microphone that clips, magnets or hangs as a pendant will benefit from the simple remote controls for mute, recording and noise cancellation. Buyers requiring dual-person interviews should look elsewhere because the package supplies only one transmitter. Users with legacy USB-A or Lightning ports cannot connect the receiver without separate adapters not included here.

Magnetic Clip And Pendant Options

The box provides a magnetic mount, a clothing clip and a pendant necklace so the transmitter can be worn three different ways without extra purchases. A furry windshield slides over the capsule to reduce wind noise during outdoor shoots. On-body buttons let the speaker toggle noise cancellation, start or stop recording and mute audio without touching the connected device.

Questions about this item

What USB-C device do I need to plug the receiver into for it to work?

The receiver connects to any USB-C smartphone, tablet, PC or Mac that supports USB audio input — no driver install is required.

Will the 26 dB signal-to-noise ratio and 48 kHz sampling still give clear voice capture if I keep using my older USB-C phone?

Yes — the transmitter handles the 48 kHz capture and noise cancelling before sending audio wirelessly, so the phone only receives a clean digital stream over USB-C.

How can I confirm the 300 m wireless link and 10-hour battery are performing after I pair the transmitter and receiver?

The transmitter LED shows connection status and battery level; a steady light means the link is active and power is sufficient for the rated runtime.
