Flexible NBR/PVC elastomeric pipe insulation fits 1/2 in pipe, runs 6 ft with 3/4 in wall thickness and handles temperatures from -297 °F to 220 °F at R-5.0
This pipe insulation is designed for 1/2 inch piping and tubing with a 7/8 inch outer diameter. The unslit NBR/PVC elastomeric tube installs over copper, steel or plastic lines in mechanical and automotive systems. It suits installers who need a continuous 6 foot length with a 3/4 inch wall for thermal protection.
The material operates continuously from -297 Degrees F to 220 Degrees F without degradation. Its closed-cell structure maintains the rated R Value 5.0 across that range, resisting moisture ingress and thermal cycling in HVAC, refrigeration and process piping. The black elastomeric finish withstands UV exposure in outdoor runs.
This product upgrades from thinner foam or fibre wrap that cannot meet the same R Value 5.0 or temperature span. The jump is worth it when condensation control, freeze protection or high-temperature stability are required on 1/2 inch lines. It does not suit applications needing pre-slit insulation or adhesive-sealed seams.

The NBR/PVC elastomeric material is rated for a continuous temperature range of -297 Degrees F to 220 Degrees F, so it remains stable during all-day exposure.
It is sized for a 1/2 in pipe with a 7/8 in outside diameter, matching the nominal 7/8 in ID of the insulation tube.
The approximate R-value of 5.0 is a property of the 3/4 in wall thickness itself and does not degrade when butted against existing insulated or bare pipe.
