  • Intel AX201 chipset delivers reliable wireless performance
  • M.2 form factor fits compatible laptop and desktop slots
  • New condition ensures full manufacturer specifications

What this Intel AX201 card adds

This Intel 01Ax798 expansion card brings Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 5.2 to a desktop or small-form-factor system through an M.2 Key E slot. It suits builders who want integrated wireless without a USB dongle.

Practical limits of the 2.4 Gbps link

The 802.11ac connection tops out at 2.4 Gbps under ideal conditions; real throughput drops with distance, walls and competing networks. Bluetooth 5.2 range and stability follow the same environmental constraints.

Check your board before ordering

Verify the motherboard has an M.2 Key E slot wired for CNVi and that the BIOS supports the AX201 module. Systems lacking CNVi or using an older Key A/E slot without the required signalling will not work with this card.

Questions about this item

Which AX201 version should I choose for 2.4Gbps Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 5.2?

The 01Ax798 model provides the AX201NGW.NV variant that delivers up to 2.4Gbps Wi-Fi speed and Bluetooth 5.2 in a single card.

What does the 2.4Gbps figure mean once the card is installed?

It represents the maximum theoretical link rate under 802.11ac; real-world throughput will be lower and depends on router capabilities, channel width and interference.

What interface does the AX201 use and what does it limit?

The card uses an M.2 2230 key-E slot; the interface caps Wi-Fi at 2.4Gbps and Bluetooth at version 5.2.
