Intel AFBR-703SDZ-IN2 SFP+ module with LC duplex connector

Intel

Intel AFBR-703SDZ-IN2 10GBASE-SR SFP+ 850 nm switch module

SKU CH-CGTJ-FH8TF

SFP+ optical module delivers 10 Gbps over multimode fiber at 850 nm using an LC duplex connector for short-range 10GBASE-SR links

  • 10 Gbps throughput for high-speed links
  • 10GBASE-SR standard ensures Ethernet compatibility
  • 850 nm wavelength optimised for multimode fibre
  • LC duplex connector simplifies patch-cord installation
  • SFP+ form factor fits standard switch slots

Intel 10GBASE-SR SFP+ Module

The Intel AFBR-703SDZ-IN2 is a 10 Gbps optical transceiver built for short-range multimode fibre links. It targets network engineers and integrators deploying 10 Gigabit Ethernet inside data centres or campus LANs.

Installation Notes

The hot-pluggable SFP+ form factor slides into a compatible switch or router cage without tools. The LC duplex connector requires clean, polished multimode patch cords; contaminated end-faces are the most common cause of link errors or intermittent throughput.

Distance and Fibre Limits

The 850 nm wavelength limits reach to the standard 10GBASE-SR distances supported by OM1, OM2, OM3 or OM4 multimode fibre grades. Single-mode cable cannot be used, and longer campus runs will exceed the optical power budget of this module.

Questions about this item

How do I verify the AFBR-703SDZ-IN2 is linked at 10 Gbps after installation?

Check the switch port status for a 10 Gbps link light and confirm the negotiated speed reads 10 Gbps in the management interface.

What comes in the box with the AFBR-703SDZ-IN2 and what must I source separately?

Only the module is included; you must supply LC duplex patch cords and compatible multimode fiber cable.

Which wavelength and fiber type match this 10GBASE-SR module for short-range links?

This module uses an 850 nm wavelength and requires multimode fiber with LC duplex connectors.
