20-core hybrid desktop processor with 28 threads, up to 5.6 GHz boost, 33 MB L3 cache, DDR4-3200 and DDR5-5600 support, integrated UHD Graphics 770, LGA 1700 socket, 125 W base power
Model i7-14700K
The Intel Core i7-14700K is a 20-core desktop CPU with 8 performance cores and 12 efficient cores delivering 28 threads. It fits the LGA 1700 socket and includes Intel UHD Graphics 770 for systems without a discrete card. The unlocked multiplier suits builders who want to tune clocks for gaming, streaming or heavy multitasking workloads.
Combined L2 and L3 cache totals 33 MB to keep frequent data close to the cores. Dual-channel memory controllers support DDR4 3200 and DDR5 5600 up to a maximum of 192 GB with ECC capability. The 125 W base power rating provides headroom for sustained all-core loads, while Turbo Boost Max Technology 3.0 pushes a single performance core to 5.6 GHz for bursty single-thread tasks.
At the 125 W processor base power the chip runs its 3.4 GHz P-core and 2.5 GHz E-core base frequencies within standard cooler specifications. Higher turbo states up to 5.6 GHz increase instantaneous power draw and temperature, so a capable air or liquid cooler is required to maintain those frequencies. Power consumption scales with workload, allowing quieter operation during light use and full performance when thermal budget permits.

Other versions of this model
The processor uses the LGA 1700 socket and is compatible with Intel 700-series chipsets out of the box. Intel 600-series boards may require a BIOS update before the CPU will post.
Open Task Manager in Windows or run lscpu on Linux; both will show 20 cores (8 P-cores plus 12 E-cores) and 28 logical processors when the chip is recognised correctly.
The boxed processor ships without a cooling device; a compatible LGA 1700 cooler rated for at least 125 W base power must be purchased separately.
