Dual-port 10Gbps SFP+ PCI-Express network adapter for data-center servers
The Intel X520-DA2 is a dual-port 10Gbps network adapter built for servers and workstations that need high-throughput Ethernet connectivity. It installs in a PCI-Express slot and presents two SFP+ cages for direct-attach or transceiver-based links.
The card occupies a single PCI-Express expansion slot and provides two SFP+ ports, freeing the builder from on-board 1GbE limits while leaving other slots available for storage or compute cards. SFP+ modules or direct-attach cables are sourced separately to match the link distance and fibre type required.
Designed for continuous operation in virtualised and high-performance computing clusters, the adapter maintains line-rate 10Gbps traffic under extended load without throttling. RoHS-compliant construction and a lifetime limited warranty reflect its intended deployment in always-on server environments.

Each port runs at 10Gbps and the card occupies a single PCI-Express slot, so sustained line-rate traffic on both ports simultaneously can exceed the slot bandwidth.
The adapter is a passive plug-in card with no onboard fan; heat output depends on the SFP+ modules installed and the server chassis airflow.
The card provides two SFP+ cages; you need compatible 10Gbps SFP+ optics or direct-attach cables that match your switch and cabling distance.
