Quad-port 10GbE RJ-45 adapter

The Intel X710-T4 is a PCI Express 3.0 x8 network card with four 10GBASE-T ports. It supports 100Mbps, 1Gbps and 10Gbps link speeds and includes both low-profile and full-height brackets for flexible installation.

Check slot and cable compatibility

Your motherboard needs a free PCIe 3.0 x8 or wider slot. The card uses RJ-45 connectors, so existing Cat6a or better copper cabling is required for 10Gbps operation; Cat5e will limit links to 1Gbps.

Suits servers and workstations needing four 10GbE

Ideal for storage, virtualization or high-throughput workloads that benefit from SR-IOV, VMDq and DCB offloads. Not suited for builds that only have PCIe x4 slots available or that require SFP+ fibre connectivity instead of RJ-45.

Questions about this item

Does the X710-T4 ship with both low-profile and full-height brackets so I can install it in either chassis type?

The card is supplied with both brackets included, letting you fit it into a low-profile or standard-height PCI Express 3.0 x8 slot without buying extra hardware.

Should I choose the X710-T4 over a dual-port model if my server only has one PCIe 3.0 x8 slot but needs four 10GbE links?

Yes — the X710-T4 delivers four 10GBASE-T RJ-45 ports from a single x8 lane, so one slot provides all four 10 Gbps connections.

Will the four 10 Gbps ports actually run at line rate when the card is seated in a PCIe 3.0 x8 slot?

PCIe 3.0 x8 supplies enough bandwidth for four 10 Gbps Ethernet ports simultaneously, so each RJ-45 port can sustain its rated 10 Gbps throughput.
