Dual-port 10GbE SFP+ server adapter using PCI Express 3.0 x8 for 10GBase-SR/LR and 1000Base-SX links
This Intel X710DA2BLK adapter adds two 10 GbE SFP+ ports to a server through a PCI Express 3.0 x8 slot. It is built for data-centre workloads that need converged LAN and SAN traffic on optical fibre or twinaxial cabling.
The plug-in form factor fits any compatible server backplane; the card requires an x8 electrical connection for full bandwidth. Installation fails if the slot is only wired x4 or if the chassis cannot supply the required auxiliary power.
Each port handles 10GBase-SR, 10GBase-LR and 1000Base-SX links, giving 40 Gb/s transmit and 40 Gb/s receive per port. Aggregate throughput reaches 80 Gb/s bi-directional only when a quad-port adapter is used, so this dual-port model caps at 40 Gb/s each way.
Measured against everything we stock in Patch Panels, PoE & LAN Adapters, at today’s prices. Recalculated every night.

Confirm the adapter appears in the server BIOS and OS device manager, then check that both SFP+ ports show a 10 Gb/s link with compatible optics or twinax cables.
The bulk pack contains the Intel X710DA2BLK dual-port SFP+ adapter only; SFP+ transceivers or direct-attach cables for 10GBase-SR, 10GBase-LR or 1000Base-SX must be bought separately.
The 2-port X710DA2BLK delivers up to 40 Gb/s total; the 80 Gb/s figure requires a quad-port adapter, so select the quad-port model if that aggregate bandwidth is needed.
