Adds two 10 Gbps RJ45 ports over a PCIe 3.0 x8 slot, operates from 0 °C to 55 °C, and supports multi-speed links down to 100 Mbps
Model X710T2LBLK
Connector RJ45
Ports 2 ports
The Intel X710T2LBLK is a PCI Express 3.0 x8 network card that adds two 10 Gigabit Ethernet ports over copper RJ45. It supports multi-speed operation at 100M, 1, 2.5, 5 and 10 Gbps and includes Energy Efficient Ethernet under IEEE 802.3az. The low-profile bracket fits compact chassis and the board measures 167 mm by 69 mm with a weight of 0.1400 kg.
This adapter targets administrators upgrading rack or tower servers to 10GbE without changing cabling, and Cloud or NFV workloads that benefit from VxLAN, GENEVE, NVGRE and MPLS offload plus DDP packet processing. It is not for buyers who require fibre SFP+ ports, single-slot x4 electrical connections, or operation above 55 °C ambient. Desktop users without a full-height x8 slot should look at alternative form factors.
Installation requires an available PCIe 3.0 x8 lane and a case or server that can accommodate the 167 mm board length. The card draws power from the slot and operates from 0 °C to 55 °C with storage tolerance down to -40 °C and up to 70 °C at 90 % humidity. Offloaded virtualization and flow director features free CPU cycles for application workloads while the dual ports enable link aggregation or segregated traffic paths.

Other versions of this model
Yes, the adapter requires a PCI Express 3.0 x8 slot for full 10 Gbps performance on both ports.
The card supports multi-speed operation down to 100 Mbps, so it will negotiate 1 Gbps over Cat5e without configuration changes.
Check the adapter properties in the OS or the switch port status; both should report a 10 Gbps link speed and show IEEE 802.3az EEE active.
