1U Cable Entry Panel for 19" Racks

This steel panel fits a standard 19-inch rack opening and occupies one rack unit of vertical space. It provides a brush-lined opening that lets cables pass through while keeping the rack interior tidy and protected from dust ingress.

Thermals Noise and Power Draw

The passive steel construction adds no fan noise and draws no power, so it has no impact on rack airflow or thermal load. Antistatic powder coating helps prevent static build-up during cable routing and maintenance work.

Upgrade Path and Fit

The panel replaces a blank 1U filler plate when cable management is needed, and its 1.5 mm steel thickness matches typical rack rails for a flush fit. It is not suited for installations that require a solid metal barrier or a sealed aperture.

Questions about this item

How do I mount the 1U panel in a 19-inch rack and what step is often missed?

Align the panel holes with the rack rails, use all four cage-nut screws per side, and verify the brush insert faces the cable route before tightening.

What upkeep will the brush insert need over time?

Vacuum or brush out dust from the bristles every few months; the steel panel and antistatic coating require no further maintenance.

What physical limit appears first when cables are pulled through continuously?

The 1.5 mm steel frame resists bending, but the 0.59-inch depth restricts how many large connectors can pass without forcing the brush.
