1U 19" Cantilever Shelf

The Intellinet 714891 is a 1U vented shelf that mounts to the front or rear posts of any standard 19 inch rack or cabinet. It is designed for network administrators who need accessible equipment placement without using a full-depth enclosure.

Sustained load capacity

The shelf supports a maximum static load of 55 lbs thanks to its 1.2 mm steel construction. The vented surface allows airflow through the unit, helping attached equipment maintain stable temperatures during continuous operation.

19 inch rack interface limits

The cantilever design bolts to the front or rear mounting rails only, so depth is limited to the 350 mm shelf dimension. Equipment requiring deeper support or four-post mounting cannot be accommodated on this shelf.

Questions about this item

Does the 1.2 mm steel shelf generate noticeable heat or noise when equipment runs on it all day?

The shelf is a passive 1.2 mm steel platform with vented holes, so it produces no noise and adds no heat of its own.

What must I already own to mount this 1U cantilever shelf in my rack?

You need a standard 19 inch rack or cabinet with front or rear mounting rails and the bolts or cage nuts to secure the shelf brackets.

Will the 350 mm deep shelf support older 19 inch gear that uses the same 55 lb static load limit?

Yes, any 19 inch equipment within the 55 lb static load rating can sit on the vented surface regardless of its age.
