5-in-1 Cable Tester for network installers

The Intellinet 780094 tests twisted-pair Ethernet cables for short circuits, open circuits, crossed pairs, cable faults and parallel connections. It is built for technicians who verify copper links before putting a network into service.

Protective pouch and coaxial adapter included

The bundled pouch protects the handheld unit during transport between job sites. The coaxial adapter extends the tester to work with coax runs, so one tool covers both Ethernet and coaxial cable verification.

Single RJ-45 port and USB 35 interface

Only one network port is provided, so each cable end must be tested sequentially rather than in a single pass. The USB 35 connection is for power or data only and does not add a second test port, limiting throughput to one link at a time.

Questions about this item

What maintenance will the 5-in-1 Cable Tester need over time?

The tester has no moving parts or replaceable batteries listed; keep the contacts clean and store it in the supplied protective pouch to avoid damage.

What limit appears first during continuous cable testing?

The single RJ-45 port means only one cable can be verified at a time, so throughput is limited by manual cable swaps.

Does the tester generate noticeable heat or noise when used all day?

It draws power from the USB interface and runs silently with no fan; heat output is negligible during extended use.
