The Intellinet 510547 is a Fast Ethernet SFP transceiver that connects a 10/100Base-TX copper port to a 100Base-FX single-mode fibre port. It uses wavelength-division multiplexing on one fibre strand, receiving at 1550 nm and transmitting at 1310 nm. The module is designed for network managers extending copper segments over fibre.

Sustained 100 Mbps over 20 km single-mode fibre

The transceiver maintains a 100 Mbps data rate across distances up to 20 km (12.4 miles) on single-mode fibre with SC connectors. WDM technology keeps transmit and receive paths separate on the same strand, so the link stays stable without adding a second fibre. The copper RJ45 side supports Auto MDI/MDI-X up to 100 m on Cat5e or better cable.

Replaces a copper-only link when distance exceeds

Deploy this transceiver when a standard copper run cannot reach the remote device and a single fibre strand is available. It must be paired with the matching 510530 media converter on the opposite end to complete the bi-directional link.
