Adds a 10/100/1000Base-T Ethernet port to Thunderbolt 3 devices via a reversible USB-C right-angle connector

  • Right-angle USB-C plug connects either way for fumble-free insertion
  • Single RJ45 port delivers 10/100/1000Base-T wired network access
  • Portable form factor measures 5.91 inches wide by .63 inches high
  • Lightweight design weighs .1 lbs for easy transport
  • Thunderbolt 3 compatible for modern laptops tablets and smartphones

Compact Thunderbolt Network Adapter

This USB-C to Gigabit Ethernet adapter adds a wired network port to laptops, tablets and smartphones that lack one. The right-angle connector plugs into Thunderbolt 3 or USB-C ports in either orientation for a secure fit. It supports 10/100/1000Base-T over twisted-pair cabling.

Replaces Missing Onboard Ethernet

Use this adapter when a device has no built-in RJ45 jack or when the existing port has failed. The portable form factor makes it practical for travel or hot-desking where a permanent dock is not justified. The jump is worth it whenever a stable wired link outperforms wireless.

Check Port And Cable Compatibility

Verify the host has a USB-C or Thunderbolt 3 port that carries data, not power only. Ensure a Cat5e or better UTP patch cable is available for the RJ45 connection. The adapter draws power from the host port so no external supply is required.

Questions about this item

Will the right-angle USB-C plug clear a 5.91 inch wide laptop edge?

The adapter measures 5.91 inches wide and 0.63 inches high so the right-angle plug should clear most laptop edges.

Which way should the reversible USB-C connector face when plugging into a Thunderbolt 3 port?

The reversible USB-C male connector plugs in either direction so there is no wrong orientation.

When should the RJ45 port be replaced if the 10/100/1000Base-T link degrades?

Replace the adapter if the RJ45 port no longer maintains a stable 10/100/1000Base-T connection after checking the UTP cable.
