Intex Easy Set Type A/C Filter Cartridges 2 Pack

What the cartridges do

These genuine Intex Type A or C filter cartridges fit Easy Set and Krystal Clear cartridge filter pumps. They are sold as a 2 pack and use Dacron paper media to trap debris and keep pool water clear. Pool owners who run the listed Intex pump models will find these cartridges a direct replacement for the original parts.

Practical limits of the cartridge standard

Each cartridge measures 4.25 inches in diameter and is rated for pumps from 500 to 1500 gallons per hour. The manufacturer recommends changing the cartridge every 2 weeks for peak flow, so a 2 pack covers roughly one month of operation. Builders who need a longer service interval or higher dirt capacity cannot meet that need with this cartridge design.

Installation and common issues

The cartridge drops into the filter housing without tools; simply remove the old element and insert the new one. The most frequent problem is forgetting the 2 week replacement schedule, which lets pressure rise and flow drop. Rinsing the pleats can extend life slightly, but the Dacron material eventually blinds and must be replaced.
