Suited For And Not Suited For

This switch suits operators who must isolate four classified or sensitive systems at one desk while meeting strict peripheral-port protection rules. Buyers who need to display multiple sources simultaneously or who require HDMI, DisplayPort or USB-C video interfaces should look at something else.

Deciding Specification

The defining specification is the PP 4.0 secure KVM certification combined with TAA compliance, which guarantees hardware-enforced port isolation and approved supply-chain provenance for high-assurance environments.

Questions about this item

How do I connect the four computers to the DVI and USB ports on the GCS1214TAA4C?

Use the supplied cables to link each computer's DVI video, USB keyboard/mouse and audio jacks to the corresponding numbered ports on the rear panel; the common console plugs into the front.

What parts of the GCS1214TAA4C wear out and need replacement?

The front-panel push buttons and the internal switching relays are the only moving parts; they are rated for the life of the unit under normal office use.

What limit appears first when the GCS1214TAA4C runs continuously in a secure facility?

The PP 4.0 architecture keeps every data path electrically isolated, so the enclosure's passive cooling capacity sets the practical duty ceiling.
