Dual-computer HDMI control

The IOGEAR GCS1322TAA4C is a two-port KVM switch that lets one keyboard, mouse and dual-monitor setup operate two separate computers. It is aimed at administrators and analysts who need simultaneous visibility across both systems without extra peripherals.

PP 4.0 secure switching limits

The switch implements Protection Profile 4.0 for high-assurance environments, which enforces strict port isolation and blocks unauthorised data paths between the connected machines. This security posture prevents shared-clipboard or file-drag workflows that general-purpose KVMs allow.

TAA-compliant metal chassis

A ruggedised metal enclosure meets Trade Agreements Act requirements for government procurement and resists electromagnetic interference in dense rack rows. Front-panel push buttons and hot-key sequences give tactile switching, while fixed HDMI ports mean cable routing stays predictable during maintenance.

Questions about this item

Should I choose the 2-port model or a different capacity for dual-computer control?

This GCS1322TAA4C provides exactly two computer connections, so it suits a dual-system desk; if you need more than two sources, you would need a different KVM model.

What does the dual-view HDMI headline mean once the switch is in my rack?

Dual-view indicates the unit supports two HDMI monitors per computer, letting you extend or mirror the desktop across both screens while sharing one keyboard and mouse.

Which security standard does the PP 4.0 label refer to and what does it cap in practice?

PP 4.0 is the NIAP Protection Profile 4.0 for peripheral sharing devices; it enforces strict port isolation and blocks unauthorized data flow between the two connected computers.
