This IOGEAR GCS62HDPKIT lets one user control two computers with a single USB keyboard, mouse and HDMI monitor. The kit includes two DisplayPort-to-HDMI adapters so each host can connect through HDMI or DisplayPort 1.1a. No external power supply is required, and all necessary cables are integrated into the unit.

Sustained 1080p operation without external power

The switch delivers full 1080p and up to 1920 x 1200 at 60 Hz continuously across both ports. Because it draws power from the attached computers, there is no separate adapter to overheat or fail during long sessions. Auto-scan intervals of 3, 5, 10 or 20 seconds cycle the view without user intervention, and front-panel LEDs show the active channel at all times.

Plug-and-play setup with hotkey or remote switching

Connect the fixed cables to each computer and the console cables to the shared peripherals; the device is recognised instantly by the operating systems. Switching works via the wired remote button, keyboard hotkeys or mouse gestures, giving three fallback methods if one conflicts with host software.
