Product Identity

The IRIS USA 500324 is a two-pack of 6-quart stackable storage bins in gray. Each rectangular container measures 12.9 by 9.8 by 3 inches and weighs .957 pounds. Secure latch buckles keep the lids firmly closed while the BPA-free polypropylene construction resists water and everyday wear.

Ideal Users & Limits

These bins suit crafters, students and office workers who need shallow, lidded boxes for markers, chalk, building blocks or small personal items. The stackable design helps maximise vertical space in cupboards or on shelves. Buyers who need deeper drawers, divided compartments or larger bulk capacity should look at other organisers.

Capacity & Headroom

Each 6-quart bin holds a single layer of craft supplies, notepads or kitchen packets with room to spare. The flat 3-inch profile fits under beds or in tight cabinet gaps, but it cannot accommodate tall bottles, reams of paper or bulky yarn skeins. Two bins give 12 quarts total, enough for a modest project stash but not a full closet overhaul.

Questions about this item

What surface or shelf space do I need to fit the 12.9 L x 9.8 W inch footprint of each bin?

Each bin measures 12.9 inches long by 9.8 inches wide, so allow at least that much flat shelf or floor area per container.

Can I stack these 3 inch high bins on top of older IRIS containers that use the same latch design?

The stable lid-body construction lets you stack multiple units securely; matching latch styles will align for stable vertical storage.

How can I verify the buckles on model 500324 are latched correctly after filling the bin?

Press each of the four buckles until they click shut; the lid should sit flush with no gaps along the 12.9 by 9.8 inch perimeter.
