What the gloves are and who they suit
These Ironclad mechanics gloves come in size XL and are built for technicians who need dexterity while handling tools or parts. The single-layer goatskin palm gives a direct feel, and the polyester back adds stretch. Touchscreen-compatible fingertips let workers operate phones or diagnostic tablets without removing the gloves. They are not for buyers who want insulated cold-weather protection or heavy cut resistance beyond level A1.
Deciding specification — cut level and touchscreen
The gloves meet ANSI/ISEA cut level A1 and are tested to EN standards, providing baseline protection against light abrasion and minor nicks. Touchscreen compatibility is built into the fingertips, so the wearer can tap and swipe on capacitive screens. If the job requires a higher cut rating or specialised chemical resistance, these gloves will not meet that need.
Thermals, noise and power draw in normal use
The unlined, non-insulated construction keeps hands cool during extended wear in moderate temperatures. Polyester backing and neoprene knuckle pads allow airflow while shielding the back of the hand from impacts. With no electrical components, there is no power draw and no noise generated. In hot environments the single-layer palm may feel warm after prolonged use.
