3-pack SAS/SATA hot-swap drive trays

This set supplies three aluminium-handle trays that accept SAS or SATA hard drives in hot-swap bays. The aluminium handles improve heat transfer from the drive chassis compared with plastic handles. They are sold new and ready for immediate installation in compatible server enclosures.

For servers using SAS/SATA hot-swap bays

These trays suit administrators replacing worn or broken plastic-handle caddies in existing hot-swap backplanes. They do not fit drives that require a different carrier form factor, nor do they convert a bay to accept interfaces other than SAS or SATA.

Aluminium handles for heat dissipation

The aluminium handle design conducts heat away from the drive body during operation, reducing thermal load inside the chassis. This single material change is the key difference from standard plastic-handle trays and decides whether the upgrade matches your cooling requirements.

Questions about this item

How can I confirm the hot-swap trays are seating correctly after installation?

The balance handle prevents skew during insertion and removal, so a smooth, straight slide into the bay without resistance shows the tray is working as intended.

What comes in the BPU-HSTRAY-3BL pack and what must I supply myself?

The pack includes three hot-swap trays with aluminum handles; you provide the SAS or SATA drives that mount inside them.

Which version should I choose if I need to replace plastic-handle trays in a SAS/SATA hot-swap bay?

The BPU-HSTRAY-3BL is the only version listed and it directly upgrades plastic-handle trays with aluminum handles for better heat dissipation.
