The iStarUSA D-300SEA-BL-RAIL24 is a 3U rackmount cabinet that fits standard 19-inch racks and accepts ATX or microATX motherboards up to 12 by 9.6 inches. It ships with a blue aluminium front bezel, a 1.2mm SECC steel chassis and a 20-inch sliding rail kit for quick installation. Two front USB 2.0 ports, power and reset switches, and status LEDs for power, drive activity, temperature and fan health are built in. A single 60mm fan provides baseline airflow.

Upgrade from tower cases or smaller 1U units

Moving from a desktop tower to this 3U rackmount adds density and front-access drive bays without sacrificing full-size motherboard support. The jump is worth it when you need four 5.25-inch external bays, two 3.5-inch external bays and one internal 3.5-inch bay in a single rack unit that also accommodates 1U or 2U power supplies. Seven expansion slots handle full-length add-in cards for storage controllers or networking.

Limited by 60mm standard cooling

The chassis includes only one 60mm fan as standard; adding up to three 80mm fans requires the separate DD-FANGUARD-8 bracket. Temperature and fan monitoring LEDs depend on the optional TC-ISF08 sensor board. Builders who need redundant cooling, hot-swap drive trays or deeper chassis clearance for long GPUs will find those features absent. The 20-inch rail depth also restricts use in shallower cabinets.
