Front bezel for D-400 chassis

The iStarUSA DD-400-DRED is a red aluminium front bezel designed for the D Storm 4U series chassis. It fits the D-400 enclosure family and provides a coloured front panel for rack-mounted servers. System builders integrating iStarUSA 4U cases use it to match a specific visual theme.

Replaces standard silver front panel

This bezel replaces the default front panel on compatible D-400 chassis when a red finish is required. The upgrade is worth it when the rack layout uses colour coding for quick identification or when the build specification calls for a red front appearance. It serves no functional cooling or structural role beyond the original panel.

Passive component under continuous operation

The bezel is a passive metal piece with no moving parts, electronics or airflow restriction of its own. Its thermal behaviour is identical to the standard panel during sustained server loads. Long-term durability depends only on the aluminium finish resisting handling marks in a busy rack environment.

Questions about this item

Does the 4U bezel align with the iStarUSA D-400 series chassis mounting holes?

Yes, the DD-400-DRED is built specifically for the iStarUSA D-400 series so the mounting holes match the chassis exactly.

How is the red front bezel attached to the chassis?

The bezel fastens with the standard chassis screws; the step often missed is removing the existing bezel completely before fitting the red one.

Will the aluminium finish need any protective coating over time?

The anodised aluminium resists corrosion under normal server-room conditions and does not require additional coating.
