Compatible Asus models

The iTekiro 120W AC adapter replaces the original charger for Asus X550 and X750 series laptops including X550JX-DB71, X550VX, X550VX-MH71, X70, X71, X71A, X71Q, X71SL, X71Tp, X71Vn, X750JB and X750JB-DB71. It supplies 19V at 6.32A for reliable operation and battery charging. This unit is not for owners of Asus models that require a different voltage, current or connector type.

5.5 mm L-shaped plug

The adapter uses a 5.5 mm diameter barrel tip with no centre pin and a 90-degree right-angle design. This L-shape reduces stress on the laptop power jack and the connector itself compared with a straight tip. Buyers must confirm their device accepts this exact plug geometry; it will not fit laptops that need a centre-pin or smaller-diameter connector.

Thermal and power behaviour

The ruggedised case and internal safety circuitry filter input surges and limit output voltage or current to protect the notebook. A UL-listed 6 ft 3-prong AC cord plus a 6 ft DC cord give a combined reach without extension leads. High power efficiency delivers continuous 120W output with minimal heat build-up during normal charging and use.

Questions about this item

What does the 120W rating mean when the adapter is connected to my laptop?

The adapter can supply up to 120 watts at 19 volts and 6.32 amps, so it will power the laptop and charge the battery simultaneously as long as the machine draws no more than that amount.

The plug is described as a 5.5 mm L-tip without a center pin — what does that limit?

It limits compatibility to Asus models that use a 5.5 mm barrel jack with no centre pin; the right-angle shape also reduces strain on the laptop's power socket.

How much space do I need for the cables and the right-angle connector?

You get a 6 ft AC cord and a 6 ft DC cord, and the 90-degree L-tip extends sideways from the laptop, so allow a few centimetres of clearance beside the power port.
