Target laptop and power rating

This 120W AC adapter is built for the Samsung 15.6 inch Odyssey NP800G5M series, including the NP800G5M-X01US and NP800G5M-X02US models. It delivers 19V at 6.32A to match the original charger specifications. Buyers who need a different voltage or a higher wattage unit will not be served by this adapter.

Connector design and safety

The DC plug uses a 90-degree L-shaped tip with a centre pin inside, reducing strain on the laptop power jack compared with a straight connector. A UL-listed 3-prong AC cord and internal surge protection guard the system against voltage spikes. Notebooks that require a different tip geometry or lack the centre pin cannot use this unit.

Sustained operation and reach

High power efficiency provides consistent and continuous power whether the laptop is running or turned off. The package includes a 6 ft AC cord plus a 6 ft DC cord for extended reach without extra extensions. A ruggedised case withstands harsh mobile environments, though buyers who need a more compact travel brick may find the extra length unnecessary.

Questions about this item

What does the 120W rating mean when this adapter is plugged into my Odyssey NP800G5M?

The 120W output at 19V and 6.32A supplies enough power to run the laptop and charge its battery simultaneously, whether the system is on or off.

How does the centre-pin barrel connector limit what I can plug this into?

The 90-degree L-shaped tip with a centre pin fits only Samsung models that require that specific barrel size and pin layout, preventing use with laptops that use a plain barrel or USB-C charging.

What clearance do I need around the laptop's power port for the right-angle plug?

The 90-degree elbow sits flush against the chassis, so only a few millimetres of side clearance are required; the 6 ft DC cord then routes backward without stressing the jack.
